Learn what you can do to be well prepared before engaging a new registered agent.

Are you planning to engage a new registered agent or change the authorisations you’ve given your existing agent? You’ll need to nominate them in Online services for business before they can access your information and act on your behalf.

The agent nomination process currently applies to all types of entities with an ABN, excluding sole traders.

If you haven’t accessed Online services for business before, there’s no need to wait until you engage your new agent. You can get ahead by:

updatingExternal Link your ABN details if they’ve changed
setting up your myGovIDExternal Link (soon to be myID)
linking your myGovID to your ABNExternal Link using Relationship Authorisation Manager.

By doing these steps now, you’ll be well prepared to complete the agent nomination process.

For more information, see our client-to-agent linking steps.
